Tebow v. Polamalu

… a tale of two Christians I have no problem with Tim Tebow being a devout Christian. Conversely, I have tremendous respect for his strong religious beliefs. What I have a problem with is his determination to use the television cameras and photographs of him kneeling down on the field before games knowing that the cameras will be rolling. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a very devout religious player. His name is Troy Polamalu, and he is a fervent Orthodox Christian. However, he does not go through his pre-game ritual on the field. He does it alone in a private space off a hallway where he can have some peace and solitude. He has a regular religious ritual that is important for him. His fellow players -- and the media -- do not approach him during this time. Troy is a greater NFL player than Tebow will ever be, and he h...

Top Alabama Judge Says 1st Amendment Applies only to Christians

This logic explains why Alabama is essentially a third-world country with one of the worst school systems in the U.S.A. … the world "religion" as used by the Founding Fathers is easy to interpret, unless you are the chief justice of supreme court in Bama. I say that as a Christian, albeit not one of his faith -- I hope. This guy was removed from the Supreme Court once before but was elected a second time ... deja vu? He even criticizes the U.S. Supreme Court as being clueless ... although I agree with that somewhat.  From Political Wire Alabama chief justice Roy Moore suggested earlier this year that the First Amendment only protects the religious speech of Christians, the Huffington Post reports. Said Moore: "Everybody, to include the U.S. Supreme Court, has been deceived as to one little word in the First Amendment called 'religion.' They can't define it." Moore said. "They can't define it the way Mason, Madison and even the Uni...

McCord plays race card

… and is dead meat.  This is a blatant way to try and win the African-American vote in Philly. He has legitimate ways to attack Wolf, hammering that he could not beat Corbett in the fall. This is ridiculous and takes attention away from his problem with outscoring? He will never win another statewide race that is competitive. This may reduce his deficit with Wolf, but he has to face it. Wolf ran all of those positive ads early while he and Schwartz sat on their hands ... that was stupid politics. http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2014/05/democrat_rob_mccord_fires_back.html#incart_river
